History

Backline was established over 15 years ago. Passionately created by members of 80's ska band "Bad Manners". Backline quickly stamped itself into the scene as a popular facility in which to rehearse, record, and even perform to crowds. Its 'Easy Going' feel attracting bands from all over the region.

Future

We have a vision at Backline, A vision that is soon to be fulfilled by a 300 capacity, 2 floor live music venue in the heart of Guildford's ever growing music scene. We see Backline as the driving force behind the greatest bands and DJs on offer. The venue will boast 2 bars, viewing gallery, chill out zones, as well as providing a green room for performers

The best thing about Backline is that its not intimidating. It has a relaxed atmosphere and the staff are always professional.

Backline is awesome! we used the studio to rehearse for the BBC Proms and continue to use the studio for showcases. The staff are always helpful and at hand. Backline has been a huge part of us building our live show.
